Does your fear of dying mess you up when it comes to living?

Do you suffer from FOD - Fear of Dying? What is death anyway?

Do you suffer from FOD – Fear of Dying?  We all want to know what happens after death?  And isn’t the big fear not really death, but the unknown?  Can we LIVE with the unknown, with the NOT knowing?  Is it even worth our time trying to figure it out as we won’t find out REALLY until we’re dead anyway? There are tons of books, stories and tales of near death experiences, and what happens when we die. But people, the bottom line is is that you won’t know until you’re dead!!!

Is there life after death?

One of our biggest questions is What is Death?

Waiting to Cross Over by Gabrielle Schertz

Let’s ponder the question “Is there life after death?”  You know, to me, this is just such a stupid question.  Of course, there isn’t!  Death, as far as I understand it, means that there is no longer any life!  Maybe the question should be more like….”Is there BEING after death?  We definitely don’t have our bodies, but do we keep our consciousness of who we, of where we’ve been and how we’ve grown? Hmmmmm…

We’re eternal? Huh?

If every living thing starts as energy and ends as energy, then doesn’t it make sense that we are eternal?  According to the scientific law of the conservation of energy “Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but can change form through phase transition (the transformation of thermodynamic system from one phase or state of matter to another.)  And, according to the American heritage Dictionary, the conservation of energy is a “principle stating that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant regardless of changes within the system.”

inspirational words allow beauty to abound3 mindfulness exercises to help you come to terms with your fear of dying..

Here are 2 easy mindfulness exercises that I have come up with to soothe and come to terms with my fear of dying:

1 – Just remember my Shiftitude for DIE: Dive Into Eternity. Eternity never ends and is always changing.  And change is a good thing isn’t it?  CHANGE:  Can Have A New Great/God Experience.

2 – smile FROM THE INSIDE when you think about death.  When you smile you are immediately neutralizing fearful thoughts.  Try it, it’s pretty cool.

3 – We’re all going to die.  And most of us don’t know when.  That’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  Do you want to fight the truth or embrace it? Accepting what is, is always more powerful than pushing against it.  Here’s a positive affirmation that speaks to that truth:  “I accept that death is my destiny but I allow life to BE the way.”
