Today I’m pondering how FAITH works when it comes to not achieving what your heart desires.
Does having FAITH mean that you believe that if you stay in this “faith-fueled” place that everything will work out for the best? (This week, my friend Dana Irvine of Wise Divine Woman interviewed me on her podcast and turned me onto the cool idea of living life from a “faith-fueled” attitude.)
Can we remain in a place of FAITH even when life doesn’t turn out the way we want it to? When we’ve done our best and we didn’t end up with our heart’s desire fulfilled?
But does FAITH alone allow us to stay in our heart no matter what the outcome? And is staying in our hearts enough to keep us faith-fueled?
Or, does FAITH need to go hand in hand with ACCEPTANCE of all that is, in order to prevent one from going into deep despair when life doesn’t show up as we had faith it would?
So I’m inventing a new word: FAITHCCEPTANCE.
A new word that will enable me to keep the faith even when life just ain’t going the way I want it to but I do still want to feel okay – and at peace with what is.
