A big shout out…

August 27, 2020 by Comments

I’m sure that like me, you’ve had your share of putting an inordinate amount of time into dealing with frustrating situations with companies trying to fix, resolve or manage all type of bills, health care issues, tech stuff, house stuff, you name it.

My technique for not going crazy when it takes 7 months to resolve an incorrect lab bill?  Or get Verizonn to my house to fix an intermittent internet issue?  Or convince Amazon that the package they said was delivered never showed up?

Before I get on the phone with anyone, I make sure to ask for an angel.  AND, most importantly I ask for patience, patience, patience.

It usually works and I’ve had great success getting results from people and companies that drive all of us a bit crazy with their ineptitude.

After weeks of an unresolved internet issue, that took many steps to finally get a human to our house to assess, Rob showed up, helped us figure it out and without asking, gave me his personal cell to check in if I needed support.

Theresa, in my doctor’s office, along with myself, submitted paperwork after paperwork and hung in there with me until finally, after 7 months, the incorrect bill was corrected.  (Although today I received the bil again, and will of course have to follow-up – but I got proof that this was resolved so not sweating it).

And today, for the 3rd week in a row Justin called me from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to give me a 3rd update on the status of claims submitted almost a month ago.

I never asked him to do this but, every Thursday around 9:30, this very cool young man calls me – of his own volition.

He sounds a bit like Keanu Reeves when he was young – especially in the movie Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (one of our all-time, favorite movies), so I have a bit of a soft spot for him.

As I do for all of my customer service angels, I told him if he needs a recommendation to have his supervisor call me.  He laughed and said that would be cool…:)

So here’s a shout out to Rob, Theresa and Justin and all the people going ABOVE AND BEYOND during these funky times.

THANK YOU!!! And blessings galore.

Got any angels you wanna share?
