Does your fear of dying mess you up when it comes to living?
Do you suffer from FOD – Fear of Dying? Although a heck of a lot less then years past, I still dabble in this form of mental illness sometimes..:) As a “shifting expert” I’m not too proud to admit that, but it be the truth. I say “be” because this deep-rooted, humanly created fear, has affected the way I “be” in so many ways. And of course, this fear affects how I interact with people I love because I’m also afraid they’re going to die! Oye!
Here are some “fear of dying” reasons…can you relate?
1 – I don’t travel much for fear of dying in a plane and leaving my kids motherless.
2 – I don’t follow my dreams for fear of not making a living and not being able to afford all the amazing supplements and foods that keep my sensitive body humming.
3 – I don’t drive in really yucky weather as I’m afraid to crash and burn (again the living the kids motherless idea).
4 – I don’t let my kids drink coke because I’m afraid it will eat away their insides and they will die before they become parents and then I can’t say to them “payback – it’s a bitch.”
What is death anyway?
Don’t we all want to know what happens after death? And isn’t the big fear not really death, but the unknown? Can we LIVE with the unknown, with the NOT knowing? Is it even worth our time trying to figure it out as we won’t find out REALLY until we’re dead anyway? There are tons of books, stories and tales of near death experiences, and what happens when we die. But people, the bottom line is is that you won’t know until you’re dead!!!
Is there life after death?

Waiting to Cross Over by Gabrielle Schertz
Let’s ponder the question “Is there life after death?” You know, to me, this is just such a stupid question. Of course, there isn’t! Death, as far as I understand it, means that there is no longer any life! Maybe the question should be more like….”Is there BEING after death? We definitely don’t have our bodies, but do we keep our consciousness of who we, of where we’ve been and how we’ve grown? Hmmmmm…
We’re eternal? Huh?
If every living thing starts as energy and ends as energy, then doesn’t it make sense that we are eternal? According to the scientific law of the conservation of energy “Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but can change form through phase transition (the transformation of thermodynamic system from one phase or state of matter to another.) And, according to the American heritage Dictionary, the conservation of energy is a “principle stating that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant regardless of changes within the system.”
